1. Introduction and data controller
This Privacy Policy explains how Soy Coach Roger, the professional calisthenics coaching activity run by Roger Jiménez (hereinafter "we" or "the controller"), based in Barcelona, Spain, collects, uses and protects the personal data of people who visit this website (soycoachroger.com) or hire its coaching services.
This processing is carried out in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (GDPR), and with Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on the Protection of Personal Data and the guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD).
You can contact the data controller about any question regarding your personal data at privacy@soycoachroger.com.
2. Data we collect
This website is an informational page with no integrated payment system. The personal data we may process is the following:
2.1 Data you provide directly
- When requesting a diagnostic call through the website form: your name and phone number, stored on our own server for the sole purpose of managing and returning your call, together with basic follow-up of that request.
- When booking a diagnostic call via Calendly: your name, email address, and any information you choose to include about your goals or sporting background.
- When you write to us by email or social media: your email address, name, and the content of your message.
- If you hire the 1:1 coaching service in the future: contact details, information about your physical condition, injuries or limitations relevant to designing your training plan, and billing data where applicable.
2.2 Technical data
The website's hosting provider may automatically log basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, and date/time of access) for security and service-operation purposes. This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies — see our Cookie Policy for more detail.
3. Legal basis for processing
- Performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6.1.b GDPR): to respond to your request for a diagnostic call and, where applicable, to provide the coaching service.
- Consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR): when you voluntarily write to us by email or social media.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR): to ensure the technical security of the website.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR): when we retain billing data as required by Spanish tax and commercial regulations.
4. Purposes of processing
- Managing your request for information or a free diagnostic call.
- Designing, providing and following up on the 1:1 calisthenics coaching service.
- Responding to your queries and communicating with you about the service.
- Complying with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- Maintaining the technical security of the website and preventing fraudulent use.
We do not use your data to build automated profiles or to make decisions producing legal effects on you without human intervention.
5. Recipients and data processors
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. We only share data with the following data processors, strictly necessary to operate the service:
- Calendly, Inc. — managing the booking and scheduling of diagnostic calls.
- Website hosting provider — technical storage of the site's files.
- Email provider — managing email communications.
When you click links to Instagram, YouTube, TikTok or Calendly, you leave our website and become subject to each of those platforms' own privacy policy, which we recommend you review.
We may disclose your data to public authorities where there is a legal obligation to do so.
6. International transfers
Some of the providers mentioned above (such as Calendly) may be located outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. In such cases, we ensure the transfer is subject to appropriate safeguards under Chapter V of the GDPR, such as the provider's adherence to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the signing of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
7. Retention period
- Contact and enquiry data is kept for as long as there is a mutual interest in maintaining the relationship and, at most, for 2 years from the last contact.
- Active students' data is kept for the duration of the coaching relationship and up to 1 year after it ends, in case follow-up needs to resume.
- Data with tax or accounting relevance (billing) is kept for the periods required by Spanish law, generally 6 years from the last entry (Commercial Code) and up to 4 years for tax purposes (General Tax Law).
Once these periods elapse, the data is securely deleted or anonymised.
8. Data security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration: encrypted connection (HTTPS) across the entire website, restricted access to management tools (email and calendar) through authentication, and selection of providers offering adequate security and compliance guarantees.
9. Your rights
As a data subject, you have the right to:
- Access: know what data of yours we process.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: request that we delete your data when it is no longer necessary.
- Objection: object to specific processing of your data.
- Restriction of processing: request that we restrict the use of your data in certain circumstances.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Withdraw consent given at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
You can exercise these rights by writing to privacy@soycoachroger.com, indicating which right you wish to exercise and attaching a document proving your identity. We will respond within one month at most.
If you believe we have not properly handled your request, you have the right to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), at www.aepd.es.
10. Minors
In accordance with Article 7 of the LOPDGDD, processing the data of minors under 14 requires the consent of parents or legal guardians. Our coaching services are aimed at adults; if a minor wishes to participate, the express consent and supervision of their parents or guardians will be required, both for the processing of their data and for physical safety reasons during training.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical or organisational changes. We will publish any relevant change on this same page, indicating the date it was last updated. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
